Properly inflated tires are imperative to ensuring the longevity and safety of your vehicle, along with preventing costly repairs. If you are driving on underinflated or overinflated tires, you might find yourself dealing with a blowout and loss of control while driving. Properly inflated tires also help your fuel economy -- driving on an underinflated tire costs about 0.2 percent inefficiency. If your tire pressure is low by 10 pounds, you are giving up 2 percent of your entire fuel economy. Proper tire pressure makes a difference! How do you know what the proper tire pressure is?
